Job summary

ThrivePoint High School is seeking a Re-Engagement Specialist to work onsite as a Student Success Coach (SSC), focusing on students who have stopped responding and submitting work.

The role builds trust, identifies barriers, and guides students toward achievable academic steps while coordinating a thoughtful return to campus. You will work with families, teachers, counselors, and the Leadership Team to re-engage students and document progress in school systems.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Associates degree is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build respectful, consistent relationships with students and families, including those hesitant to engage with school.
• Set goals, review graduation progress, solve problems, celebrate progress, and hold students accountable for communication, attendance, and completed work.
• Maintain two-way contact, coordinate with families and support systems, and document progress in PowerSchool and related systems.
• Use coaching tools (BrightThinker, ThriveGuides, Edmentum, PowerSchool, GoGuardian, Google Workspace, NBS) to help students navigate barriers.
• Review SSPs, IEPs, and Section 504 Plans to ensure restart plans include needed support.
• Coordinate with teachers, counselors, LCC, and staff to connect students to ThriveTime and other services without losing track of next steps.
• Make four outreach attempts weekly during the initial phase and document outcomes.
• Meet with students and families, identify reasons for disengagement, and establish a contact routine.
