Job summary

Corewell Health's Diagnostic Radiology department in Trenton Hospital is seeking a part-time radiology imaging assistant to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under indirect supervision of a registered radiographer. You will ensure patient safety, verify equipment and supplies, and assist with routine fluoroscopic and portable X-ray procedures in accordance with established standards.

• High School Diploma required with 1 year of relevant imaging experience.
• Completed first year of an accredited imaging program.

• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.

Job description

Scope of Work

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures. Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures.Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures. Assures equipment/supplies are present and accounted for at beginning and end of each imaging procedure. Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications Required

High School Diploma 1 year of relevant experience must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
