Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education, social work, public affairs, counseling, business, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in higher education, student affairs, or related field.
• Education beyond the minimum may substitute for work experience and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Leads academic components of New Student Orientation, including pre-Orientation academic preparations, webinars, preparation courses, and academic sessions during New Student Orientation.
• Serves as primary liaison to academic advising units, coordinating logistics for incoming students.
• Provides leadership for creation and improvement of all New Student Orientation communications.
• Collaborates with full-time staff to develop and distribute New Student Orientation communications.
• Provides leadership for New Student Orientation email and phones, directing front office staff.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and provides feedback to assigned student staff.
• Provides operational support for housing arrangements for orientation participants.
• Contributes to development and continuous improvement of New Student Orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
