Job summary

The University of Brighton invites applications for a Placements, Internships & Volunteering officer to help students put their learning into practice by securing work-based experiences across the university and beyond.

This fixed-term, full-time post (37 hours per week) until August 2027 will be based at our Moulsecoomb and City campuses. The role offers hybrid working, with on-campus presence during term times to support student-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Higher Education sector or student placements.
• Experience delivering skills/workshops to students.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; able to work with teams and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 guidance to students to secure placements.
• Deliver skills workshops and organise events.
• Engage with local, national and international employers and organisations.
• Attend Careers Fairs and other employability events.
• Handle administration to monitor student placement activity.
