Job summary

Brown County United Way is seeking a part-time Community Connector to support NWTC student programs and coordinate Ride United transportation services. The role focuses on building trusting relationships, helping students identify barriers, and connecting them to campus and community resources.

You will establish individualized goals, track progress, and maintain confidential records while liaising with NWTC TRIO and BC UW. Strong empathy, organization, and initiative are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with participating students and maintain proactive engagement.
• Identify barriers to educational success and financial stability, including transportation, childcare, housing, food, finances, healthcare, and technology.
• Help students establish goals, measurable milestones, and practical action plans.
• Connect students to NWTC and community resources via warm referrals and track outcomes.
• Navigate challenges and help students access resources over time with support as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, goals, referrals, progress, and outcomes in the program's data system.
• Collaborate with the BCUW Community Resource Navigator and address complex needs.
