Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Coordinator of Student Organizations to support Student Life’s mission of developing student leaders and fostering involvement on campus.

You will coach student organizations, manage space reservations, and coordinate events, workshops, and programs while ensuring policy compliance and stakeholder collaboration. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and experience developing, administering, and implementing programs for college students.
• Experience advising student groups, in student personnel or student services.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders.
• Professional demeanor; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and assistance to student organizations in organization management, program planning, leadership development, risk management and policy understanding.
• Oversee and manage indoor space reservations for student organizations and departments; act as technology liaison for reservation system.
• Conduct event consultations for indoor/outdoor events; coordinate with campus partners on logistics and referrals.
• Lead and collaborate in planning area programs, workshops, and assessments to measure impact and outcomes.
• Participate in hiring, training, and supervision of graduate and/or undergraduate student staff as part of the events team.
• Assist in special assignments and committees on behalf of Student Organizations or Student Life.
