Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking UM‑Dearborn students for the UUE Student Operations Team (TEMP). This on‑site hourly position supports campus events with room set‑ups, AV setup, and guest service. Work 10–15 hours weekly across a flexible schedule, ideally across two semesters.

Prior work‑study is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include opening/closing rooms, setting up for events, assisting with AV equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace while upholding

Qualifications

• Current degree‑seeking student enrolled at UM‑Dearborn, part‑time status preferred.
• Minimum GPA 2.5 and no disqualifying offenses.
• Able to lift/move 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close meeting rooms and event spaces on campus.
• Set up/tear down events, including furniture and AV equipment.
• Monitor spaces with student building managers and support events.
• Provide professional, courteous service to guests and campus colleagues.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain event notes for operations.
