Job Description
The job involves covering the front desk by greeting guests, students, faculty & staff, answering the phone, assisting with administrative tasks such as making copies and scans, proofreading, creating documents and spreadsheets for staff, delivering mail, maintaining the kitchen and conference room, conducting simple research projects for faculty, and managing inventories. Student assistants may also run errands on campus and assist the Events Manager with set-up and clean-up during shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be available to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm, and Tuesdays from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (Part-time & temporary) from August 4 until August 22. The ending date and working hours can be flexible.
Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, be comfortable greeting guests, operating the phone, and interacting with faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Being a self-starter and able to work independently is also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs is necessary.
