Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant in Economics under the Federal Work Study program. The role supports the Economics department with inquiries, data entry, mail handling, and general office tasks.

Start on/after September 21, 2026 and ending by May 21, 2027, with possible reappointment based on budget and performance. Undergrad students must maintain at least six Fall/Spring units and have an active Financial Aid award.

Qualifications

• Undergrad students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year.
• Preferred qualifications include MS Office knowledge, ability to follow instructions, confidentiality, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to telephone and email inquiries.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students.
• Collect, sort, and deliver mail; campus deliveries.
• Monitor office supplies for inventory.
• File, scan, copy, organize documents.
• Enter data and update records.
• Assist students with basic departmental inquiries.
• Support departmental projects and events.
• Other duties as assigned.
