CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Student Assistant - Federal Work Study in the Psychology & Child Development department in Turlock. The role supports front desk duties, basic data entry, and event support from Sept 1, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with potential reappointment based on budget and performance.

Candidates must be undergraduates enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units and have a current Financial Aid award.

Qualifications

• Undergrad students must be enrolled in minimum 6 Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for current term.
• Demonstrates ability to follow instructions and multi-task.
• Demonstrates dependable and punctual behavior.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office familiarity.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist faculty, students, and guests.
• Support front desk and answer department phone calls.
• Refer visitors or callers to appropriate personnel.
• Operate common office equipment (copy, fax, scanner).
• Maintain department bulletin boards and organize files.
• Create student files and update advising materials.
• Proctor make-up exams and handle confidential files.
• Assist with event setup/cleanup (e.g., URS, portfolio presentations).
• Run department errands and distribute mail.
• Assist administrative coordinators with department tasks.
