Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist in food preparation and serving. The role includes handling allergens, following recipes and production records, and supporting meal programs at the site.

Position features 4-hour daily shifts, Monday–Friday, 178 duty days per year, with opportunities to perform POS procedures and HACCP compliance tasks. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be willing to enroll and complete the SNS required food safety training course.
• Experience in a public school kitchen and/or background in related food service operations.
• Knowledge of government guidelines and procedures concerning sanitation and safety.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.
• Stooping, bending, occasional awkward positions may be necessary to perform essential functions of the position. Must be able to lift 31-50 lbs.
