Advocate Health, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Nurse Aide extern to support patient care on the unit and assist with basic nursing tasks. The role requires active RN program enrollment, NC Nurse Aide I/II listing, BLS certification, and strong attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and light clerical duties while maintaining a clean patient environment and reporting changes promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently in good standing in Registered Nurse academic program required.
• Successful completion of Junior year or equivalent at the time of the Nurse Extern program required.
• Current listing with the NC Nurse Aide I Registry and NA II with NC Board of Nursing prior to start date.

Responsabilités

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, data entry and maintaining medical records.
• Maintains stock items in inventory management.
• Performs Nurse Aide I/II tasks per state lists.
• Administers 12-Lead ECG and routine venipuncture.
