Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Nurse Aide candidate to support patients with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks. The role includes basic clerical duties and adherence to safety procedures within a clinical unit.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, Nurse Aide I/II certification, and be in good standing in an RN academic program. CPR/BLS and state registry requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Nurse Aide I & II certification required.
• RN student in good standing in RN program.
• Nurse Extern program completion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, data entry and maintaining medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs tasks from Nurse Aide I/II scope per state Nursing Board.
