Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I and II prior to start date required.
• Successful completion of junior year or equivalent for Nurse Extern program.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition.
• Orients patients and families to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical duties and medical records entry.
• Manages stock items and inventory.
