Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide extern to support patients on the unit. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation, while training in ECG and phlebotomy under supervision.

Applicants must be in good standing in an RN program and hold a current Nurse Aide Registry listing plus BLS certification. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RN student must be in good standing.
• Current DFS Nurse Aide Registry listing required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Take vital signs, height, weight, and assist with feeding.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and assist with clerical tasks.
• Administer 12-Lead ECG and routine venipuncture under training.
• Observe changes in patient conditions and report to team.
