Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student (minimum 12 semester hours)
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Not on academic or disciplinary probation
• May not hold an elected or appointed position with Student Government Association

Responsibilities

• Reports directly with the managing editor/content
• Manages team of reporters and first-time candidates, including handling personnel issues with EIC and adviser
• Participate in monthly newspaper distribution
• Attend meetings held by the newspaper adviser
• Assign articles and ensure completion through communication
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and mentorship of news candidates
• Facilitate weekly story assignment meetings
• Edit articles according to AP style
• Contribute coverage of stories when needed
• Maintain minimum of three scheduled office hours per week
• Perform any other duties as assigned
