Job summary

San Diego State University Research Foundation seeks a proactive ITE Student Media Intern to support the Communications Unit. The role focuses on creating engaging content, managing social media posts, and assisting with newsletters to promote college access and degree attainment.

You will produce flyers, graphics, and short videos, update LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, and help craft press materials while ensuring accuracy of online content.

Qualifications

• Experience with social media platforms and best practices.
• Ability to write in brand voice for multiple audiences.
• Background in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Office Support (95%): Create flyers, graphics, and video content on Canva for social media platforms, print materials, website promotion, etc.
• Photograph/video for content creation and evergreen content collection.
• Update media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) for ITE and SDSU TPrep.
• Assist in creating and scheduling ITE News Bites and newsletters.
• Maintain links and documents on program webpages and Linktree for accuracy.
• Copywriting for different stakeholders across media (social, flyers, pamphlets).
• Attend events and write press releases for significant changes, share photos/videos online.
• Monitor groups on Flare app for appropriate activity.
• Other (5%): Perform duties to support the program for students and staff.
