Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking an undergraduate SDSU student to assist the Institute for Transformative Education Communications Unit. You will help craft accurate, timely information about ITE to staff and the public, and support social media and outreach efforts.

The role focuses on creating content, updating platforms, and coordinating newsletters, while participating in events and maintaining digital presence. A strong brand voice and content writing ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled at SDSU.
• Experience with social media content creation preferred.
• Ability to design and produce flyers, graphics, and video content using Canva.

Responsibilities

• Create flyers, graphics, and video content on Canva for social media, print materials, and website promotion.
• Photograph/video content for campaigns and evergreen material.
• Maintain calendar of upcoming social media posts.
• Update ITE and SDSU TPrep social platforms.
• Assist in creating and scheduling ITE News Bites and newsletters.
• Maintain program webpages and Linktree for accuracy.
• Copywriting for different stakeholders across media (social, flyers, pamphlets).
• Attend events and write/share photos/videos online when appropriate.
• Monitor groups on Flare app for appropriate activity.
• Perform other duties to support the program.
