Job summary

ECMC Group, headquartered in Minneapolis, seeks an entry-level contact center specialist to support student loan borrowers throughout the loan lifecycle, discussing repayment options and helping keep loans current.

Under supervision, you will make outbound calls, inform borrowers of responsibilities, document interactions, and stay current on relevant regulations. The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year of office or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of office/business, clerical or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes outbound calls to counsel borrowers on options to manage student loans and to keep loans current.
• Communicates with borrowers by telephone, mail and/or email to inform them of responsibilities and consequences of default.
• Maintains clear, accurate documentation of borrower accounts and contact history.
• Keeps current knowledge of laws and regulations affecting loan repayment and options available to borrowers.
• Updates loan status in the system of record.
• Participates in work group activities to improve processes.
