Job summary

Northeastern University, Oakland campus, is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to design, coordinate, and execute cohort-based programs that support student transition and belonging. You will work across Student Life and campus partners to deliver inclusive programming, events, and community outreach that enhance academic, personal, and social success.

The role requires 3–5 years in student affairs, strong event planning skills, and the ability to manage budgets and supervise student staff,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in student affairs or related programming.
• Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and best practices.
• Proven expertise in event planning, coordination, and program management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse constituencies.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships within a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and implement a calendar of cohort-based programs and events.
• Develop programming sequences to build community within first-year cohorts.
• Assess program effectiveness and report outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with academic affairs, advising, and campus partners to integrate touchpoints.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise student staff and peer leaders.
