Job summary

Shoreline Community College is seeking an administrative support specialist for the Student Life office. You will act as the primary contact for students and staff, coordinate Welcome Weeks and events, and manage budget-related tasks for student-life programs with attention to compliance and timely execution.

Responsibilities include training student clubs, coordinating facilities, submitting paperwork, and supporting outreach efforts across campus while collaborating with various departments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in student services or related area preferred.
  • Proficiency with FERPA and student privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as main point of contact for the Student Life office and assist students, faculty, and staff with information related to programs, services, and internal/external resources.
  • Coordinate the quarterly Welcome Weeks and resource fairs, including scheduling and logistics such as facilities, equipment, and online updates.
  • Deliver process training to student clubs and student fee-funded programs accessing funds for purchasing, travel, and fundraising.
  • Provide logistical support for student events, including scheduling facilities and space, AV equipment, and other resources.
  • Review flyers and posters to ensure compliance with College rules and procedures.
  • Assist in budgeting and purchasing processes for Student Life and student-fee funded programs.
  • Coordinate with campus partners and track program activities, newsletters, and tabling events.
  • Support commencement activities and participate in planning committees.
