Job summary

Columbia Basin College seeks a Program Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for the Residence Life Office, delivering professional, student-centered support to residents, prospective residents, staff, and community members.

This role coordinates administrative housing operations, including applications, occupancy, records, billing, and office processes, and assists with check-in/check-out and policy communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the Residence Life Office, providing customer service and information to residents, prospective residents, staff, and community members.
• Coordinate administrative processes related to student housing operations, including application processing, occupancy management, resident records, and departmental documentation.
• Assist with resident check-in, check-out, and transition processes, ensuring compliance with housing policies and procedures.
• Support the communication and implementation of Residential Life policies, procedures, and programs to residents and stakeholders.
• Bill and track housing charges, payments, and serve as the primary point of contact for receiving Residential Life payments.
• Coordinate office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, recordkeeping, inventory management, and maintenance of departmental files and systems.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and assessment of Residential Life programs, events, and initiatives that support student engagement and success.
• Serve as a resource for students by responding to inquiries, resolving routine concerns, and referring complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with campus departments and external partners to support housing operations and resident services.
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports, communications, and other materials related to Residential Life operations.
• Participate in staff meeting, training programs, professional development opportunities, and other departmental activities.
