Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a qualified leader to oversee the Social Development Department at our Sacramento center.

You will provide a safe, structured living environment, supervise staff, and coordinate after-hours activities to support student achievement and employability. The role requires a high school diploma or associate degree, at least one year in program management with youth, and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or preferred.
• A minimum of one-year experience in program management and direction with a substantial experience working with youth.
• Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
• Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with a safe, structured living environment to support retention and success.
• Oversee daily management of social development programs and resolve staff issues with sound judgment.
• Manage non-class hours residential living and coordinate quality recreational and evening activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and student data.
• Supervise the Social Development Department and act as Acting Social Development Director when needed.
• Follow integrity guidelines and ensure no manipulation of student data.
• Help Center meet or exceed performance goals and support staff hiring and evaluation.
• Organize high-quality after-hours activities including leadership, student government, and training.
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe and conducive to student achievement.
• Manage behavior and supervise staff coverage to ensure safety.
• Ensure staff comply with rest and meal break requirements.
• Mentor staff, delegate effectively and support career progression.
• Provide required training and motivate staff to perform duties.
• Build community linkages for education, employment and training opportunities.
• Represent the Center positively to the community and elected officials.
• Model Career Success Standards and supervise student services to maintain quality.
