Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking an on-site Student Life Administrative Coordinator based in Ann Arbor, MI, to support the Full-Time MBA Programs’ Student Life team. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative and logistical support for FTMBA student clubs, conferences, case competitions, and other student-led activities.
  • Support major student and community events by coordinating rooms, catering, materials, transportation, parking, permits, hotel blocks, and other event needs.
  • Provide on-site event support, including room setup and attendee check-in, coordinating with Ross Operations, Ross IT, vendors, and campus partners.
  • Manage event-related purchases, catering orders, materials, invoices, and reconciliation across program shortcodes.
  • Provide daily front desk coverage for the FTMBA Program Office by greeting visitors and directing inquiries.
  • Monitor and respond to the FTMBA Program Office email account; assist with scheduling, reservations, and catering.
  • Maintain organized, welcoming shared office spaces and support Admissions events on campus and virtually.

Job Summary

As the Student Life Administrative Coordinator you will support activities related to the Full-Time MBA Programs' (FTMBA) Student Life team including front desk coverage, organization and cleanliness of FTMBA suite, and general administrative support. You will provide event support for FTMBA events and Student Life events including room and hotel reservations, reimbursement processing, catering and material orders, and on-site support such as check-in and room set-up. You will report directly to the Associate Director of Student Life.

This is an onsite position based in Ann Arbor, MI. The role may require occasional work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout employment.

Required Qualifications*
  • High school education and 1+ years of related administrative or customer service experience.
  • Experience working with students or similar groups.
  • Experience handling confidential information according to specified confidentiality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites plus email and calendar-keeping technologies.

Additional Information

Salary Information:

The salary offer range for this position is $42,000 to $49,400. Salary offers are determined based on several factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, along with internal equity considerations. It is not common for new hires to be placed at the top of the range.
