Job summary

Liberty University’s Jerry Falwell Library is seeking a Student Worker Assistant to provide friendly customer service and basic research support across library departments. The role requires punctuality, professional conduct, and clear communication with patrons and staff.

The assistant will answer questions, assist with databases and technology, and help maintain a clean, welcoming study environment. This is a part-time, onsite position with pay starting at $12.77 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current student in good academic standing.
• Federal Work Study approved preferred.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• One year of college education preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Second language proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of the Library of Congress classification system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at library service desks, assisting with directions and basic research questions.
• Provide research assistance using basic databases and computer search techniques.
• Offer basic technology help, troubleshoot printers, and keep work areas tidy.
