Job summary

The University of Cincinnati seeks a part-time student worker for the Office of Innovative Technology and Learning Design within CECH to assist the Learning Design team. Primary duties include building courses in Blackboard/Canvas, QA reviews, and producing multimedia guides.

The role requires on-site presence and the ability to lift equipment up to 25 pounds. Candidates must be enrolled part-time, have a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 16.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school.
• Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Enrollment shall include: The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled. The one off term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Building and updating courses in Blackboard and Canvas
• Providing quality assurance reviews of courses and interactive media presentations
• Researching, writing, editing, and producing technical how-to guides
• Assisting with on-site video shoots
• Editing video footage
• Creating video tutorials
• Assisting with web conferences
• Supporting CECH faculty and staff during OITLD training sessions
• Providing Blackboard and Canvas support and trouble shooting
• Providing administrative support (creating spreadsheets, tracking course builds, etc.)
• Creating branching scenarios, tutorials, and other interactive media using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline
