Job summary

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified specialist for the Office of Innovative Technology and Learning Design (OITLD) to support teaching with technology. You will train faculty on Moodle, video conferencing, and lecture capture, and provide production services for online and blended courses.

Responsibilities include maintaining instructional technology systems, documenting processes, and collaborating across units to fulfill instructional objectives.

Qualifications

• :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field with two years' experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years' experience; OR six years' experience; fluency with Windows and macOS, MS Office, basic web editing, video editing, and pedagogical uses of blogs, wikis, and other social platforms.
• Two years of experience with Learning Management Systems, lecture capture, videoconferencing, technologies and pedagogical methods that promote effective use of learning technology.
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow), Canvas, and Kaltura; teaching in online or hybrid environments; instructional design coursework.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and train faculty in Moodle, personal response systems, telepresence video-conferencing, lecture capture, and other classroom computing tech to support blended and online courses.
• Provide technical training and production services to faculty for Lecture Capture and online courses.
• Maintain instructional technology systems, infrastructure, and faculty support services for teaching and learning; document support/incident processes.
• Collaborate with business units to achieve instructional objectives; develop multimedia projects based on objectives, format, budget, timelines, and resources.
• Create documentation and communications; act as a seasoned professional; perform other related duties.
