Job summary

The Memorial Union at Iowa State University is seeking a Student Services Specialist II to support student organizations, advise student leaders, and coordinate leadership development programs that enhance campus life.

You'll work directly with engaged students on projects, events, and initiatives, serving as a resource to navigate university processes and develop leadership skills, with opportunities to lead retreats and campus-wide programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student org operations: recognition, records, database, space, funding, awards, training.
• Plan leadership development: retreats, workshops, ISLE, LEAD Retreat programs.
• Advise First-Year Council and student leaders on leadership, budgeting, event planning, marketing.
• Connect students with campus resources and navigate policies and requirements.
• Create newsletters and campus communications to boost student engagement.
• Support events and Union initiatives: ClubFest, WelcomeFest, Art Mart, AfterDark.
