Job summary

Ithaca College’s Terrace Commissary Dining Hall is hiring a late-night service team member to ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will set up stations, take temperatures, stock items, and maintain a clean, sanitary workstation while following all safety procedures.

This role requires multitasking, quick movement, collaboration with coworkers, and clear communication with management. On-the-job training is provided, with free meals and potential for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving stations with all required menu items, service utensils, food containers, utensils, condiments, and items for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, cleaning as necessary and when required by standard operating procedures.
• Take and record food temperatures at required intervals.
• Replenish items on service lines from coolers, ovens, and hot boxes as necessary or required.
• Break down service lines after each meal service and properly dispose of or store food.
• Maintain knowledge of all food items on service lines, including ingredients, preparations, and allergens.
• Maintain knowledge of unit offerings and operating procedures to aid guests in inquiries, seeking supervisory aid if necessary.
• Communicate often, clearly, and professionally with co-works and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The main function of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to ensure optimal guest experiences. This position will require you to multitask, move quickly, collaborate with co-workers, keep a neat and tidy physical appearance, preserve all sanitation and food handling and safety procedures.This position requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
