Job summary

Greece Central School District is seeking a part-time Student Support (Non-Instructional)/ Job Training Specialist to assist secondary students with job readiness and placements district-wide. The role involves coordinating work experiences, coaching on-site, and collaborating with teachers and coordinators.

Fingerprinting is required by NYSED, with the supervisor being the Director of School to Career Pathways.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus: (A) Associate or Bachelor in Human Services, Education or Social sciences; (B) 2 years of relevant paid work with individuals with special needs in an educational setting; (C) any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Develop work experiences in the local community (shadowing, internships, placements, training).
• Collaborate with teachers and coordinators to prepare students for work experiences (resumes, practice interviews).
• Provide on-the-job coaching and modeling for placed students.
• Maintain required records.
• Cover for other Job Coach absences; perform other duties as assigned.
