Job summary

Greece Central School District is seeking a part-time School Aide to support community schools and family engagement initiatives. The role requires in-person presence during school hours, with flexible hours per week.

The supervisor is the Director of Community Schools, and the position emphasizes building relationships with families and the community to support student success. Attention to communication and organizational skills, plus familiarity with the district and its community, will help

Responsibilities

• Attend monthly parent coordinator meetings.
• Participate in monthly supervision/site visits.
• Help families understand Greece Central School District services.
• Learn the needs of students, families, and the community.
• Proactively build relationships with diverse students and families.
• Collaborate with building leaders and the community schools team to engage families.
• Participate in community schools/family engagement committees at the building level.
• Support organization and facilitation of building-based and district family engagement events.
• Increase parent engagement opportunities within the building and district.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary/Responsibilities

• Help families gain knowledge and understanding of Greece Central School District
• Learn the needs of students, families, and the community
• Proactively build relationships with diverse students and families
• In collaboration with building leaders and the community schools team, empower and engage families
• Participate in community schools/family engagement committees at the building level
• Support the organization and facilitation of building-based and district family engagement events
• Increase parent engagement opportunities within the building and district
• Other duties as assigned

This position is building-based. Hours vary, 12-15 hours per week. In-person availability during school hours is required.
