Job summary

Angelo State University is seeking a Student IT Assistant in the Department Information Technology to help customers with minor tech issues, stock printers, and manage equipment checkouts. You will support lab computers and assist with basic troubleshooting across Windows, Mac, and mobile devices.

Shifts run 7:00 AM to midnight, seven days a week; you must be enrolled as a student with GPA 2.0 or higher and have good communication skills for one-on-one user support.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student with good academic standing
• GPA of 2.0 or higher required
• Basic ability to communicate one-on-one with end users
• Basic troubleshooting for Windows, Mac, and mobile devices

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with minor technology issues (e.g., network connections)
• Ensure printers are stocked with paper and toner; troubleshoot jams
• Check out laptops, hotspots, and other items using inventory software
• Keep lab computers operational and troubleshoot minor issues
• Work shifts 7:00 AM–midnight, Sunday–Saturday; coordinate coverage if needed
