Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a Student Intervention Coordinator to support PBIS and MTSS across the school community, partnering with admin, teachers, support staff, and families.

The role centers on developing and implementing a school-wide behavioral program to promote a safe, positive learning environment and high achievement for all students, with a non-exempt status and a salary of $52.14 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, special education, behavioral, social or psychological science.
  • Three years of successful behavior support, teaching, social work or counseling in a K-12 setting.
  • CPI training within 3 months of hire and annual recertification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the school community (admin, staff, families) to develop and implement PBIS/MTSS.

Position Information

The Student Intervention Coordinator collaborates with the school community, including the administrative team, instructional staff, support staff and families, to support the development and implementation of a school-wide positive behavioral intervention system which supports a positive learning environment and a high level of achievement for all students.

Shift Details: 7 hours a day; 185 day calendar

Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours, work locations, and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Hourly Rate: $52.14 per hour (2026-2027 Professional - Technical Employee Salary Schedule)

Position Type/Level: Professional - Technical Employee Level E

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, special education, behavioral, social or psychological science; and
  • Three (3) years of successful behavior support, teaching experience, social work/or counseling in a K-12 setting. *
  • Human Resources may consider work experience, training, and continuing education as an alternative to the degree when assessing compliance with this qualification.

Licenses/Special Requirements

Complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 3 months of hire date and maintain certification annually.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior successful work experience in student evidence-based behavior intervention.
  • Demonstrated experience introducing, modeling, and reinforcing positive social behavior and/or experience implementing MTSS.
  • Experience and/or training with cultural, ethnic and language diversity is a plus.

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year.

Eligibility for a state retirement plan through the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) is determined upon hire and is based on a variety of factors.
