Appalachian Real Estate Development Corporation in Boone, NC is seeking a proactive Student Housing Leasing Manager to lead leasing efforts and connect students with the Mountaineer Ridge community at Appalachian State University's premier off-campus housing. You will manage full leasing cycle, develop marketing strategies, build relationships with ASU students and faculty, and coordinate move-in/out to ensure a seamless resident experience.

Strong sales and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school or job-related experience. Must demonstrate literacy in the English language.
• Six months to one year of leasing or property management experience preferred.
• Strong sales, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio or similar).
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends during peak leasing seasons.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Understanding of Fair Housing laws and leasing compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full leasing cycle including lead generation, tours, applications, and lease signings.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive occupancy and meet leasing goals.
• Build relationships with Appalachian State University students, faculty, and campus organizations.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes to ensure a seamless resident experience.
• Maintain accurate records in property management software and track leasing metrics.
• Respond promptly to prospective and current resident inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Plan and participate in on-campus outreach events, tabling, and promotional activities.
