Job summary

Yugo Tucson Campus is seeking a General Manager to lead our student housing community with a focus on engagement, leasing, resident relations, and financial performance.

You’ll supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate marketing efforts to maximize occupancy and revenue while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies. A degree in business or related field is preferred; relevant experience may suffice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in residential properties or related operations.
• Experience managing a property, preferably student/university residential building.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sales and marketing focus in fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Experience with property mgmt software such as Entrata, Yardi, Real Page or like systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site staff and ensure operational goals are met on time.
• Oversee rent collections, delinquency management, and eviction processes.
• Manage AR/AP processes and ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Coordinate leasing, marketing, and resident retention initiatives to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and community positioning.
• Review financial reports, budgets, occupancy trends, and performance.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce expenses; improve asset performance.
• Assist in preparing and managing annual operating and capital budgets.
• Investigate resident complaints and maintain safety and appearance standards.
• Oversee maintenance in partnership with the Maintenance Supervisor; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate vendor contracts, bidding, and project coordination.
• Recruit and develop team members; conduct regular meetings and performance reviews.
