University Housing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Housing Coordinator II to manage data-driven housing processes and contracts. The role focuses on end-user data management, StarRez usage, and coordinating with students and families to support residential experiences.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with two years in database systems; a Master’s degree is valued. Regular hours with occasional evenings and collaboration across campus are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a database management system.
• Experience with housing information systems (e.g., StarRez) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Leads divisional outreach with prospective students and families.
• Analyzes data for housing assignments and develops solutions for student issues.
• Plans, directs and implements housing initiatives and manages occupancy for all terms.
• Collaborates with campus groups and maintains partnerships, representing the division’s interests.
• Advises stakeholders about housing units, contracts, and options.
• May supervise student employees.
• Assists in managing Housing Information System inquiries, data verification, reports, and process management.
• Resolves housing-related policy questions, requests, and appeals, including disabilities and gender identity.
• Drafts and maintains annual contracts and memos with campus programs and academic departments.
