Winston‑Salem State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Occupancy Management and Information Technology to lead occupancy planning, housing assignments, and data‑driven decisions using StarRez. The role serves as the primary StarRez administrator, shaping workflows, reports, and integrations with Banner and SSO.

The position collaborates with IT, Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, and Facilities to align housing operations with university goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Higher Education, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in university housing or student affairs.
• Strong technical skills including SQL queries, Excel, and data analysis/reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience managing housing assignments or occupancy planning with data systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee occupancy planning, housing assignments, and data-driven decision-making using StarRez.
• Serve as administrator for StarRez, configuring portals, workflows, and reports.
• Lead StarRez projects, system upgrades, and integrations with campus systems.
• Provide training and documentation for staff on StarRez use.
• Ensure data integrity and security in coordination with IT and StarRez support.
• Collaborate with IT, Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, and Facilities.
