Job summary

Great Basin College is seeking a student worker to support the Elko campus front desk, answering phones and emails, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries in a confidential environment.

The role requires enrollment in at least 6 credits, a 2.0 GPA, and Work Study or RSP eligibility; proficiency in Word/Excel and strong communication are essential. This is a part-time on-site position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a student of Great Basin College and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the semester.
• Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be personal, prompt, take initiative and have great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover the front desk, answer phones and emails, and greet visitors.
• Answer basic questions from students, staff, faculty and community members and/or direct them to other departments as required.
• Work in an environment that handles confidential student files and paperwork, adhering to FERPA law and regulations.
• Filing and scanning.
• Other duties as assigned.
