Job summary

Western Nevada College is seeking a Work Study Student Employee to support the Liberal Arts & Sciences Department in Carson City. You will be the first point of contact at the front desk, managing inquiries and assisting staff and students in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires enrollment in at least 6 credits each regular semester, being in a degree-seeking program, and meeting SAP requirements. Work Study is mandatory and compensation ranges from $12 to $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to answer phones, make calls, and answer questions.
• Self-motivation, problem solving, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Staff the front desk and assist students and instructors in a professional manner.
• Update and maintain spreadsheets and tracking for various projects.
• Stock and inventory; answer multiple phone lines, emails, and department mail disbursement.
