Job summary

Grafton Integrated Health Network in Winchester, VA is seeking an Instructional Assistant/Direct Support Professional to support instructional and therapeutic activities, assist with lesson plans, and help students achieve their goals.

Under supervision, you will ensure safety, document progress, provide transportation between residence and school when needed, collaborate with the treatment team, and contribute to a compassionate, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, or an associate's degree with 3 months' experience.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Demonstrates basic computer skills: logging in, navigating the Web, and basic Word usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional and therapeutic activities and lesson plans.
• Support safety and crisis management for clients.
• Document behavioral and instructional data accurately.
• Provide transportation between residence and school when needed.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to maintain continuity of care.
