Job summary

Holyoke Community College is seeking a part-time, non-benefited Customer Service Associate to join the campus store team. You will greet students, faculty, staff and visitors, assist with textbooks, merchandise and store policies, and process transactions at the point of sale.

This role emphasizes friendly, accurate service in a busy, student-facing environment with peak periods during terms. Previous retail or cashiering experience is preferred, and basic computer and POS skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome students, faculty, staff, and visitors and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist students with locating textbooks, course materials, school supplies, apparel, and other store merchandise.
• Answer customer questions and provide information regarding products, pricing, availability, returns, exchanges, and store policies.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other transactions.
