Job summary

Southeast Community College in Milford seeks a Part-Time Campus Store Clerk to deliver friendly service at the campus store, assist students, faculty, and staff, and support both in-store and online sales.

Under the supervision of the Campus Store Manager, you will handle POS transactions, restock shelves, maintain inventory accuracy, and help with end-of-year physical counts, ensuring a welcoming campus retail experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience in a college bookstore or retail environment.
• Knowledge of and experience in operating computers, ten-key calculators, POS systems, and copy machines.
• Ability to follow directions from the Campus Store Manager.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of students, staff, and the public.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work under pressure at semesters ends.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, person, and phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers using a POS cash register.
• Assist customers via telephone and email.
• Support store opening/closing and cash handling.
• Collaborate with team for smooth operations.
• Regularly organize and restock shelves and displays.
• Maintain a clean, orderly sales floor and price merchandise.
• Operate computer, cash register, printer, ten-key, copy machine, label equipment.
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
