Job summary

Felician University in Lodi, NJ, is seeking a temporary SFS Staff Coordinator (Student Financial Services Navigator) for a three-month appointment. This full-time hybrid role supports students with financial aid, billing, payment options, and enrollment readiness while providing front-line service via phone, email, virtual appointments, and in-person visits.

The position requires on-campus presence for walk-in services and events, with some duties possible remotely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service.
• Experience in a college or university setting preferred.
• Experience in Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Admissions, Advising, or other student-facing roles preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn university systems.
• Reliable, professional, and mission-oriented.
• Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for students and families regarding financial aid, billing, student accounts, and payment options.
• Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, virtual appointments, and walk-in services.
• Assist students with FAFSA completion and financial aid processes.
• Help students complete outstanding To-Do List items, verification requirements, and required documentation.
• Review student accounts and identify barriers to financial clearance.
• Explain billing statements, payment deadlines, payment plans, and financing options.
• Educate students regarding grants, scholarships, federal student loans, Federal Parent PLUS Loans, private loans, and other funding resources.
• Assist students with navigating university systems and self-service platforms.
• Conduct outreach to students with outstanding financial aid or student account requirements.
• Partner with Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Admissions, Housing, Registrar, and Academic Advising to support student success.
• Refer complex issues to appropriate professional staff.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions.
