Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Student Financial Aid Specialist 2 to provide counseling and administrative support within the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management. You will work with undergraduates and graduates to verify aid eligibility, award packages, and process appeals while ensuring compliance with regulations.

You will also help with policy development, data reporting, and regional campus coordination, serving as a resource for staff, departments, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures; ability to learn and navigate multiple databases.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students, families and other users regarding financial aid; verifies eligibility and awards; processes, approves and denies appeals.
• Evaluates, processes and certifies consortium agreements, private and university loans; serves as liaison for university and external communities.
• Assists with development of policies and procedures; maintains statistics and researches issues; participates in committees.
