Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Student Financial Services Specialist to provide information and guidance on federal financial aid, state aid, VA benefits, and other funding to help students enroll, persist, and complete their programs.

You will document communications, manage eligibility reviews, and support students and parents with financial literacy and planning, while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Federal Financial Aid programs preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide active students on financial aid options and eligibility.
• Review and package federal and state aid accurately.
• Assist with repayment plans and Exit Counseling tracking.
• Document communications in the student information system.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and compliance.
• Attend training and stay updated on policies and requirements.
• Provide enrollment and student support as needed.
