Job summary

Craven Community College is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to assist students with FAFSA, scholarships, and grants at the Havelock Campus and MCAS Cherry Point office. You will coordinate with main campus staff, support federal work study, and ensure compliance with Title IV.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, processing applications, and guiding students through the financial aid process while collaborating with the Foundation and Financial Services.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field.
• Two years of full-time administrative work experience in a professional environment.
• Eligibility for MCAS Cherry Point access and a valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to students via walk-in, phone, and email at multiple campuses.
• Interprets financial aid policies and guides students through FAFSA, scholarships, and grants.
• Processes and verifies financial aid applications, ISIRs, and awards in compliance with regulations.
• Maintains SAP appeals and tracks scholarship program administration.
• Participates in committees and supports training for students and parents.
