Job summary

Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a Financial Aid Representative to join the Financial Aid Office and support the college’s goals. You will process applications, verify documents, and assist with packaging and awarding while counseling students and families on aid options.

You will coordinate communications, collaborate with internal departments and external agencies, and contribute to continuous process improvements and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Minimum of two years' experience in financial aid or higher education.

Responsibilities

• Process and review financial aid applications, supporting documentation, and action items to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Counsel students and families on financial aid programs, eligibility, and funding resources.
• Coordinate financial aid communications and provide responsive service to students and campus partners.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to facilitate timely processing, awarding, and disbursement.
• Assist with purchasing, mail distribution, and preparation of financial aid materials as needed.
• Supervise student employees and support department projects and audits.
