Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in financial aid, higher education, or a comparable environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases and college-standard software.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and review financial aid applications, supporting documentation, and action items to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Process verification documents, eligibility determinations, student loan certifications, disbursements, work-study review and awarding.
• Counsel students and families on financial aid programs, procedures, verification requirements, eligibility, and funding resources.
• Coordinate financial aid communications, materials, and documentation with responsive service to students, families, and campus partners.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to facilitate timely processing, awarding and disbursement of financial aid.
• Coordinate administrative functions including purchasing, payment requests, supply management, mail distribution, and publication preparation for financial aid.
• Supervise, train, and provide directions to student employees.
• Support departmental operations through participation in audits, reporting, compliance initiatives and process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Financial Aid Office and College mission.
