Job summary

Remington College seeks an on-site Financial Aid Assistant to help students apply for enrollment and explore financing options. You will answer questions, guide applicants through the aid process, and coordinate documentation to ensure timely submissions.

The role involves reviewing aid packages with students, assisting with final submissions for each term, and collaborating with admissions and financial aid teams to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of federal student financial aid experience (Global Service experience a plus).
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) student software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and operates within state and federal statutes and accreditation standards.
• Assists student questions when applying for financial aid and provides information about financing options.
• Asks questions to determine types/amounts of financial aid students may be eligible for.
• Responds to requests for help with financial aid information and related questions.
• Assists students with preparation and completion of financial aid applications.
• Follows up to ensure timely completion of applications and required documentation.
• Reviews Estimated Award Letters with students.
• Assists with final submission or packaging students for financial aid each term.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
• Maintains professional relationships with all Company personnel.
• Conducts professional life in a way that fosters a positive impression of the Company.
• Performs the job on site when required; remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required.
