Job summary

Covista is seeking an experienced Student Finance Systems Programmer/Developer to deliver system, reporting, and analytics solutions that align with business needs. You will translate business requirements to technology groups, design scalable applications, and collaborate across departments to optimize processes.

Responsibilities include defining requirements, participating in project teams, maintaining documentation, and supporting data standards and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years IT/software development business analysis experience.
• SQL writing/coding and experience with GCP usage.
• Strong experience modifying and supporting .NET desktop applications (WinForms and WPF) built with C# and VB.NET, including SQL Server databases.
• Experience with higher education and CRM tools (Salesforce.com, RightNow) and SDLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Acts as IT contact/interface to the business and translates requirements to tech teams.
• Develops requirements and specifications for enhancements to existing applications.
• Participates with project teams in defining, developing, acquiring and implementing new software.
• Maintains user documentation and assists with UAT plans and test results.
• Reviews proposed technology initiatives and ensures ROI aligns with strategic plans.
• Helps operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
• Collaborates with external vendors and internal users during development and implementation, managing risks and status.
